Dear ALL,

VERY HAPPY GRATEFUL Greetings!

From September 29th (daily until we are done) at both of the below mentioned venues, we would be VERY, VERY GRATEFUL for ALL of the help that we can get to off-load trucks & cars, to sort donated goods, we need Men to assist us to bail clothing, blankets etc. and then to hand-pack these 10 x 40ft containers…THANK-YOU for ‘coming to our rescue’!!

Other than Missionary clothing, People have asked what else we need to pack into our containers…As we are serving a People with 95% unemployment and 1.6 million Orphans, we are MOST in need of the following items:

· NON-EXPIRED medical & dental equipment

· Newborn Kits (Bath sized towels for Mothers to carry their ‘new’ babies on their backs and to be used as a bed, towel & blanket)

· School Kits & additional school supplies

· Hygiene Kits

· $1 Reading Glasses (‘Dollar Store’)

· Baby clothing, Diapers & Baby formula

· Food – tuna, peanut butter etc.

· Crutches, Walkers & Wheelchairs

· Children & Youths Library books

· Blankets

· Pre-sorted clothing & shoes of ALL ages bagged & labelled

We would be SO VERY GRATEFUL for newborn kits…Most times Mothers live far distances from local rural bush clinics and have to walk long distances weeks before giving birth in order to be nearby to give birth at the clinic. Makeshift shelters are used by sometimes 150 soon-to-be Mothers while waiting to give birth (On one occasion we stopped at one of these shelters and found 150+ Mothers whom we gave newborn kits to.) By having newborn kits at these remote medical clinics, it encourages Mothers to make this long, arduous journey knowing that their new baby will be clothed…By giving birth at the clinic where there are medical staff to assist, this will often times save both the Mothers and newborn Baby’s life!!! It is AMAZING to think that a simple newborn kit might change a life so dramatically, and in reality, we KNOW that it does!
