This is a question we recently received in response to a post about why Mormons often “have a lot of kids.”
We do believe in having children, but there are also plenty of members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who adopt, and some who foster as well. The Church also provides support services for single moms and adoption services for parents interested in adoption.
As for personal stories from Mormon women about adoption/fostering, see the following posts at our site:

Mormon’s do adopt and also serve as foster parents. When we lived in Florida a number of members of our ward had foster children. Professional golfer Billy Casper, a member of the church, and his wife have 11 children, most of whom are adopted.
