I just received an email from Reeve Nield, who lives in Zimbabwe and spends most of her free time helping and serving the people in that country.
They have an urgent need for Family Search Indexing help with Zimbabwe death records. (Zimbabwe, Death Notices, 1904-1976, pt. 1 – FSI (12-1183))
There aren’t enough people in Zimbabwe who know how to do indexing, or who have access to the technology to be able to do it. But if many of us who do have the know-how and technology help, it can help them get the indexed records published so they can do family history work. If they don’t get at least a minimum of the records done, they may have to wait up to another year to have a chance to have them published.
It has been difficult to get onto the Zimbabwe indexing site. I have called Salt Lake and they are going to call back with help. Others may have the same problem.
Thanks, Linda. I couldn’t find it, either. Please let us know if you hear anything back. I love the idea of being able to serve our brothers and sisters in this way.
