Geoff Steurer is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, talking to women about our inherent worth…about the inherent worth of a person (in this discussion, a woman). Our worth, he says, is a constant, from cradle to grave and beyond. It is an eternal truth. The scriptures say this, that “The worth of souls is great in the sight of God.”

Sadly, young women often start internalizing messages of shame and worthlessness — about their bodies and themselves in general. The media have a strong influence on this, and sometimes family dysfunction or other difficult situations can leave feeling women (and men, but he’s seen a lot of this with women) growing up with a message of “not enough.”

Hear Geoff’s thoughts about recognizing the lies that drive shame and that “not enough” message that many women struggle with. He uses scriptures and prophetic quotes that reinforce the truth of the worth of a woman’s soul.
