We are all at different stages of life, and so travel could be anything from regular reality to distant dream. Or maybe you are the type who really is just content being home.
Whatever the answer, we’d love to hear where you would like to go if time and money and other cares and concerns (such as: Who will take care of the kids? or How could I travel with my health issues?) were not on the table.
If I could go anywhere and money wasn’t an object, I’d stay home. Home is our safe place, our haven, and “walls” against the negativity of the world and it’s idols. I love my family, and I love our home.
If money was no object, I would take my kids with me and literally travel the world. We would keep our home as a home-base (and come back frequently), but one of my dreams is to see the world. I know of a family in Utah (with four kids) that took 11 months off of “life” and literally traveled the world –Asia to Africa to Europe to South America and back. I would love to give my kids a chance to see that the world is full of beautiful, wonderful people and places. I want them to know first-hand how it feels to be in a foreign place, because I know it would teach them compassion and respect. Not that I couldn’t teach that at home (of course I can), but I also long for those experiences. So, I guess it would be selfish, too! I want to see every country and every continent and every people…
I would pack up my family and hit the beach. A beach where we could swim in the ocean. Florida. Puerto Rice. Anywhere warm. Ahhh.
If I could be any place in the world right now I would be in reroute to one of the many places our kids and grand kids live. I would love to travel around the USA with my wonderful husband and visit all of our 9 kids and their families. We would also be visiting friends along the way.
It’s not a matter of health or money, but I would go Home.
My dream has always been to visit England. The majority of my ancestors come from there. I would love to visit the places where they were born, where they died, where they are buried. I feel like it would give me more of a closeness to them other than just names in my family history.
I, too, would like to go to England (and thereabouts) for the same family history reasons.
I also would love to go to Prague and Switzerland.
But truth be told, I am a homebody.
