President Monson to preside over Mormon temple groundbreaking in Rome
This is so exciting!
I served in the Italy Catania Mission from 1988-1989, and my husband is from Messina (southern Italy), and our oldest son, Robert (Anziano Bona) is now serving in the Italy Milan Mission.
This is such an exciting time for the members in Italy. Members and missionaries alike have been working towards this day for a very long time. I remember when I was serving that all the missionaries in all of Italy were working towards a stake somewhere in Italy…it would be the first step towards a temple…and now 20+ yrs later it has come to pass. What a wonderful day!!!
We are currently living in Italy, and I just posted our experience watching the

We went on our honeymoon to Rome. I would love to be there for the dedication for an anniversary trip.
