I am searching for a 2009 BYU Women’s Conference talk by Susan Jones and Barbara Thompson, called Stand in Awe and Be Still: Spiritual Receptiveness. The video will not play when it comes up on BYU TV. This is a truly amazing talk. Do you know how to access it?
Many thanks.
Trish,
I’m not sure about the video, but fortunately, the transcript is accessible here: http://ce.byu.edu/cw/womensconference/pdf/archive/2009/Barbara_Thompson.pdf
I am searching for the video or transcript of I Can Do All Things through Christ Which Strengtheneth Me: Facing Challenges in the Strength of the Lord Jana P. Staples (4/30/2009). I would appreciate any help. I just heard it on Mormon Channel and it was great. Thanks.
Doug, you can find the video here: http://www.byutv.org/watch/95a9b9ee-a75d-4791-9593-d67fc65892b7/byu-womens-conference-janna-p-staples-and-cheryl-c-lant
I am looking for the same talk that Trish was looking for. When I click your link, I get the talk by Barbara Thompson, but not the one by Susan Jones. I heard the talk on Mormon Channel Radio on Sept. 10, 2015. I tried to pause it, but it didn’t work. It addressed something I have really been working on, and I REALLY would love a transcript for it. I have spent hours this Sunday trying to find any link to what I heard on Mormon Channel, and have had no luck. I even emailed Mormon Channel that day, but recieved nothing back. Perhaps you have a better link?
I’ve been trying to find the talk of
Sister Kathy S. Anderson Women’s Conference April 30, 2009. If you can find it, please let me know!
I too just heard this talk on the Mormon Channel and would love to have access to it by video or in text! I am searching for the video or transcript of I Can Do All Things through Christ Which Strengtheneth Me: Facing Challenges in the Strength of the Lord Jana P. Staples (4/30/2009). I would appreciate any help. Thank you! There is not access to the video linked to the comment above.
Kim, I’m sorry the video is not available. They’ve changed the technology since some of these posts were written. I looked on the Women’s Conference transcripts page and that talk is not available, which may mean it was put into the book they compile each year with selected Women’s Conference talks. And BYUTV’s video archives only go back now to 2010. So short of trying to find a copy of the 2009 Women’s Conference book or reaching out to Sister Staples directly, I am not sure how to find a video or transcript of her talk. Wish I could be of more help!
I’d love to know what stood out to you from her talk. We’d welcome a submission of your reflections on it. Sometimes the feelings or impressions we are left with are even more important than the original words said.
