The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is organizing a day of service that will span several states in the United States. This is Some of the planned activities include the following:

… gleaning crops, restocking community food banks, holding career fairs and blood drives, cleaning and repairing community facilities, building a Habitat for Humanity home, planting container gardens for low-income families, sponsoring a 5k run for charity….
