Our mission here at Mormon Women: Who We Are is to share personal experiences and perspectives about being members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. You’ll find some general information here as well.
If you have questions about Mormon life and beliefs, feel free to ask. (Answers, of course, would be unofficial in nature. For official information about the Church, see lds.org or mormon.org/faith). You can email questions to us at mormonwomen at gmail, or via the comment section on any page or post. We often will address questions by email, and they may also be addressed on the site.
This site is not an official site of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but we strive to have our content consistent with the Church’s doctrine and teachings.
While we invite comments, we do moderate them. Comments that we consider troll-like (inflammatory, inappropriate, contentious, etc), or that are inconsistent with our site’s purposes may be edited or withheld from publication on the site. If you have any questions about our moderation policies, feel free to email us.
Would you take exception with me putting a link to your website on my blog?
Brian Rogers
Brian, you are welcome to put a link to our website on your blog.
Keep up the excellent work! Love the website! 🙂
LDS Living alerted me to this website and you ladies are doing a fantastic job! I love it! I shared an article with my fellow LDS moms in my cafemom discussion group. Hopefully they will come over and do some more browsing on your site. Keep up the good work!
We’re designing a book titled “The Mormons: An Illustrated history of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints,” which will be published by a London publisher. Most articles are written by BYU professors, and most photos are provided by the Church. However, the author would like to include images of Mormon Helping Hands workers in the aftermath of recent disasters, such as are included on your site. Could you connect me with the photographer so that I could request permission?
Thanks. Stephen Hales
Stephen, I’ve sent you an email but just in case it ends up in spam, here is what I said.
Your best bet for photos will probably be to contact people who are directly involved in Mormon Helping Hands projects. There are a variety of Helping Hands Facebook groups where I would imagine you might find people who would be interested in sharing their photos. We’ve listed a few of those groups in our recent Hurricane Sandy post, but you can search Facebook under “Mormon Helping Hands” to find others.
Hope this helps, and good luck with your project!
