I also have a hard time trying thinking I have to fix everything that is wrong with myself right now. Your post has made me realize I can't put that on me, I will break each time I feel I am failing and I will fail if I do not turn to Christ to help me. I am learning to let Him carry me by trying to immediately pray for help in every moment of fear or pain. To open up my heart to him when I am hurting and tell him my pain and fears. Thank you!

I find it really difficult, sometimes, to let Him carry me. Sometimes - often - though, the best relief I feel is when I imagine myself crawling into Heavenly Father's lap, and pouring out my heart that way. There is a peace and comfort with imagining myself surrounded by his love and arms, which makes the burdens of the day more manageable.

And when life gets overwhelming? Some gorgeous music, or a really hot shower (or even a bath) - a bit of gentle self-care goes a long, long way.
