A-MEN, K! Well-reasoned and well-written. This experience truly is a fire and we all do need the atonement. As a thriver after divorce from an abusive man with multiple addictions, including porn, I testify to the enabling power (grace) of the atonement. I am a better person, a stronger person, than I was before, and although I have no desire to repeat the experience, I'm not sorry for it. Elijah was hungry during the famine, Abraham wandered without land, Moses endured for 40 years with those who lacked faith, Joseph languished in prison (both Josephs did); all of us at some time or another have put our head in our hands as Brigham and wondered what more would come our way. Our covenants truly are our lifeline and they are much more than a platitude for eternity - they heal. God bless you for your writing and I pray your experience is resolved sooner rather than later. We are together in the Lord.
