I love the comments above, too, about how this is a reminder of the impact one person can have on others.

I think that same principle can apply for those who may not have their own posterity. The ripples of our service and love surely extend far beyond what we can see. I can think of so many people who have had an impact in my life, for whom I am very grateful, and many of them have come from outside my family circle.
