I have my kids set aside as much of their Halloween candy as they want (but at least 24 pieces), we freeze it in labeled ziplocs and then we bring it out the first of December!

The kids love making advent chains with the candy and the best part is it doesn’t add more candy for Christmas, instead it “shares” with Halloween.
