Valerie,

I really loved this post. I am grateful that you would share this experience. I have been amazed how sometimes things turn out differently than I would have expected, and sometimes I don't even fully understand why things turn out as they do, but I think it's maybe through those unexpected times that I have come to know God better than when things turn out all peachy-king...maybe because I have to rely on Him more. ??

Anyway, it was great to 'meet' you. And what a beautiful family you have.

What a tender mercy, Valerie. Also such a great reminder to not only listen to the quiet promptings of the Holy Ghost, but *follow* them.

Valerie, I think you are in the ward that shares the building with me.... How fun to see you here at Mormon Woman!

I've been desperately confused about where to live for over a year. We've prayed and prayed and I've felt a lot like the children of Israel wandering in the wilderness - barred from the promised land due to iniquity and lack of faith. I'm hoping that is not the problem, but I'm repenting nonetheless.

We just bought a house and it is a major fixer, so it's tough to be excited about moving into a fixer while 8 months pregnant. l'm hoping that in a few months/years I'll be able to look back and see the hand of the Lord in this. I'd like it to be as obvious as a cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night. Wouldn't that be nice?
