I really loved this post. I am grateful that you would share this experience. I have been amazed how sometimes things turn out differently than I would have expected, and sometimes I don’t even fully understand why things turn out as they do, but I think it’s maybe through those unexpected times that I have come to know God better than when things turn out all peachy-king…maybe because I have to rely on Him more. ??

Anyway, it was great to ‘meet’ you. And what a beautiful family you have.

How fun to see you here at Mormon Woman!

I’ve been desperately confused about where to live for over a year. We’ve prayed and prayed and I’ve felt a lot like the children of Israel wandering in the wilderness – barred from the promised land due to iniquity and lack of faith. I’m hoping that is not the problem, but I’m repenting nonetheless.

We just bought a house and it is a major fixer, so it’s tough to be excited about moving into a fixer while 8 months pregnant. l’m hoping that in a few months/years I’ll be able to look back and see the hand of the Lord in this. I’d like it to be as obvious as a cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night. Wouldn’t that be nice?
