I am the one who wrote the post on foreign exchange students. However, this was very long ago and I have never hosted a foreign exchange student personally so I really have no information for you. I could do an internet search but I don’t speak or read the language. Since you have a blog (I don’t have the address so I can’t respond there as per your request) I feel fairly confident that you know how to use the internet and can far more easily obtain this information online than I. Also, as far as registering your children for school here, I believe that is something that the foreign exchange student program in your country handles for you. Either way, you need to contact someone in Brazil about this as it is different for each country. Good luck!

I live in Brazil, I’m Mormon, I have two teenage children, they are keen to make the exchange in the United States, I wonder how the program works, how do I register them in the program and how is the form of payment?
I also need guidance to know what is the procedure to register them there.
We are scheduling to send the two in August 2011, my daughter will be 16 years if my son 17 years.
