Hi! I found this entry when checking search terms that also brought people to my blog, Good Strong Men,: "Preside, Provide, Protect and Proclamation"

I love your faith, as Michelle mentions, in your challenge to let your husband preside. Your attitude is beautiful and I think you're right on in how men can really shine and bless their families when given a chance.

I'd appreciate your comments on any of my entries as I struggle to make sense of these issues as well.

Brenda,

I love this post. I appreciate your honesty about how you
struggled at first to "make sense" of the concept of presiding. After all, you made more money. You had natural leadership talents.

I especially appreciate this: "I was willing to try to implement these principles in my marriage before fully understanding them. At first glance, it felt counter-intuitive to let my husband preside when I was the natural leader in our family. '

I think that sums up what faith often entails.

This is also a tender tribute to your good husband. I love the way your partnership works.

That really is beautiful. I love when the clouds part and you can see clearly into the heavens and what Heavenly Father wants from you and how he feels for you. The prophets really do have a magnifying glass that makes everything clearer. Those are treasured moments and to have made those powerful connections with your eternal companion, absent of distractions is truly a gift. Very sweet.
