Her lesson has stayed with me all my life. Then in the early 1980s when my husband and I had small children of our own and a mortgage, and times were tight, we continued to pay our tithing. I remember once sitting down back then and putting on paper our income versus our expenses. On paper it showed we didn’t have enough to meet our obligations. Yet still we always were able to pay our bills. I have a testimony of tithing, without a doubt.
