The Church I met when Iwas 52 years and 4 months after I was baptized. Unfortunately, neither the husband nor our children do not want to be mormon. My big dream for which I pray is that the husband became a member of the Church and we are sealing in the temple and to go on a mission together. My favorite verses are Alma 29:1-3

I had the awesome opportunity to serve a mission in Peru.
It was in 1982-84. I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions of my life. I was almost 21 years of age, with no future husband prospects. I had already received my nursing license, and was looking for the next adventure. A bunch of us singles were at a conference. In our group, there were alot of returned missionaries, I could feel their sweet spirit and their enthusiasm, I wanted that!
So I decided to go on a mission. Even though it was many years ago, I can still remember that wonderful spiritual time in my life, especially when I read my missionary journal. I will NEVER forget my time as a missionary. My husband is also an RM, served in the Scotland mission.

I didn’t serve a mission and neither did my husband. I hope to serve a mission with him when our kids are grown.

I served in South America. Missionary work was hard, in some ways harder than I had expected. But my convictions about the gospel grew a great deal, especially about the fact that Joseph Smith really was a prophet, and the Book of Mormon is true.

It was also such an interesting experience to live in another culture, and to become fully engrossed in it. I cried when I left. I craved the food. I missed the customs.

I was fortunate to have the chance to go back and visit my mission along with my husband years later, who also served in South America, in a neighboring country.

Missions are amazing. I will forever be grateful that I had the opportunity and blessing to serve. It had a significant impact on my life in many, many ways.

I have to say, too, that watching the videos of women opening their mission calls brought tears to my eyes. Such a memorable, remarkable moment. The emotion is still so real, so intense, when I remember it all.
