Stephen, I've sent you an email but just in case it ends up in spam, here is what I said.

Your best bet for photos will probably be to contact people who are directly involved in Mormon Helping Hands projects. There are a variety of Helping Hands Facebook groups where I would imagine you might find people who would be interested in sharing their photos. We've listed a few of those groups in our recent Hurricane Sandy post, but you can search Facebook under "Mormon Helping Hands" to find others.

Hope this helps, and good luck with your project!

We're designing a book titled "The Mormons: An Illustrated history of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints," which will be published by a London publisher. Most articles are written by BYU professors, and most photos are provided by the Church. However, the author would like to include images of Mormon Helping Hands workers in the aftermath of recent disasters, such as are included on your site. Could you connect me with the photographer so that I could request permission?

Thanks. Stephen Hales
